I finally finished my blackwork embroidery sampler!
I have a blackwork embroidery finish! I also FFO'd this old finish!
Long time no post
I have started a free blackwork sampler I found on the internet. I am using 14ct count aida and one strand of DMC 310. I'm using what I think is the "waste away knot" method, hence all the weird knots on the top. I will snip them off, later. I also started this little kit from Luca-S. At first I didn't care for it but I think the thread is pretty nice. I will probably use this as my new, easy, small "travel" project. I finished the Red Scarf back in June and started a pale pink one right after. I will try to take a photo and upload it in a future blog entry. I also finished this old WIP from Avlea Folk Embroidery, recently:
Spring is finally here
I am knitting on my One Row Lace Scarf by turvidsblog; it has been a WIP for like a year! Need to finish it off and cast on a pink version for a friend. Going to experiment with different knitting needles next time. It's 85f; kinda hot but I like it!
Cross stitching I am doing today
I started Avlea "BitKit Chloris" on August 1, 2022 or so. Small amount of progress. On Monaco fabric, mounted to Arabeska scroll rods and attached to my Lowery stand. I am thinking about getting a color Lowery, like hot pink, or something, eventually.
My stitching today so far
Stitching a bit on BitKit Placidia by Avlea Folk Embroidery. Using Arabeska scroll rods, a needle minder from Avlea and my fancy gold-plated Stork scirrors. Also, one of my favorite needles: Tulip Hiroshima Tapestry in size 25 (I think!)
